Meeting in the Middle: Transform a Youths’ Life

Meeting in the Middle is looking for caring adults 45+ who want to make a difference in the lives of 6th graders.
There are so many choices:

• Be matched with youth in 1:1 placements
• Work with small groups
• Assist with enrichment activities after school
• Participate in a one-day volunteer project

Each service position has a variable time commitment – as little as 1 hour each week or 3+ hours each week. We can fit the interest, experience, and availability of your volunteer need as well as those of the school and their children.

Our innovative team-based model gives you the flexibility to volunteer within your own individual placement, but with the additional support network of Communities in Schools, Virginia Mentoring Partnership and peers – all performing the same or similar tasks in other classrooms at the school.
