Business Involvement

HandsOn Greater Richmond works with private companies and businesses of all sizes to engage employees in volunteer community service. Our programs introduce employees to community service and provide critical support to our nonprofit agency partners. Corporate involvement also generates revenues that enable the staff and volunteers of HandsOn Greater Richmond to make a difference every day of the year.

Corporate service projects vary in task and scope. HandsOn Greater Richmond develops and delivers flexible, team-oriented volunteer experiences for companies large and small by offering flexible, efficient and professional ways to mobilize employees into the community.

General Program Support

HandsOn Greater Richmond runs dozens of programs and initiatives to create volunteer and engagement opportunities. These projects engage diverse volunteers and impact our community through thousands of hours of service. Your corporation's support of our general programming helps us to be more, serve more and do more!

Annual Event Sponsorship

Companies can sponsor and participate in our one-day community wide service days. These events bring together hundreds of corporate volunteers and community members to complete service projects throughout the region. These annual events include HandsOn Day in October,  MLK Day in January, and Global Youth Service Day in April. These citywide celebrations of community service promote volunteerism and demonstrate good corporate citizenship while raising money to support HandsOn Greater Richmond’s year-round programs.

Corporate Impact Program

The HandsOn Greater Richmond Business Impact program offers our expertise in community service to corporations by creating customized, hands-on group volunteer projects that complement team building, leadership development, and philanthropy initiatives. Through this program, HandsOn Greater Richmond can develop and coordinate all or part of your company's volunteer project.

A Donation-for-Service to HandsOn Greater Richmond, relative to the size of your corporate volunteer group and type of volunteer project, is requested in return for the development and leadership of the activity, as well as the cost of project supplies.

Employee Individual or Group Volunteering

Though our website individuals or groups of employees can sign up for Hands On Greater Richmond's existing calendar projects and serve along side other community volunteers. This initiative offers flexibility and an easy access point into community involvement.
