There are lots of reasons to volunteer. Many of our current volunteers choose projects that allow them to meet new people and have new experiences; others want to get more involved in their community and some just like extending a helping hand.

We have projects that will help you build your social network, develop new skills, strengthen other skills, build self-esteem, improve your sense of well being and have fun while helping others.

A majority of our projects are facilitated by a HandsOn trained volunteer leader; others are led by the agency hosting the projects. We offer a wide range of projects for all interests as well as projects based on an individuals skill set. In addition to the various one day volunteer opportunities, HandsOn offers ongoing volunteer opportunities that allow individuals to form a long term relationship with an organization. We also provide board service training and help individuals find a board position suited to their needs.
