Be a Farmer for the day! Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden has started a new initiative to grow vegetables for the Food Bank. Starting April 17 on Saturdays and Mondays from 9-noon through mid-November.
Volunteers are needed to assist with: Planting, mulching, weeding, harvesting, and prepping beds for Fall planting in the garden where we are raising food for the Food Bank.
Dress for working in the sun, and bring bottled water to stay hydrated. Closed toe shoes, gardening gloves are also required. Clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
Ages: 18 and up or 12 and up with a Parent/legal Guardian
Note: Normal volunteer application and interview are not required for this project.
